When you see pictures of tropical islands what is the first thing you think of?
Have you ever spent any holidays on an tropical island? Where? How long? What did you like most about it?
Have you seen the film Castaway or read any books about island life?
Could you imagine living on a deserted tropical island for 6 - 12 months? How long could you do it for?
How many people would you feel safe with? Could you live there alone or with just one other person?
What basic things would you need to bring with you to survive? Food? Equipment?
Can you recognise plants and berries? Do you know which are poisonous? What about sea life?
What would be the first thing to organise when you arrive?
How would you divide up the different tasks to be done?
What would you miss from home?
Can you imagine not being connected to the rest of the world? No internet, phones, etc.?
How do you think you would feel at the end of your stay? (if you survived!)
